ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

Our beliefs

  • We believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 13:14.

  • The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of a virgin. Matthew 1:23.

  • That Jesus lived a sinless life. Hebrews 7:26.

  • We believe in the work of the cross. 1 Corinthians 15:13.

  • Jesus rose from the dead. Luke 24:39.

  • Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. Hebrews 12:2.

  • That the only hope of redemption for humankind is through the blood of Jesus Christ. John 14:6.

  • Man can be capable of living a holy life through the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit. John 14:26

  • In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

  • In the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:8-11

  • We believe in speaking in tongues. Acts 2:4; Romans 11:29

  • We believe in the fivefold ministry: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Ephesians 4:11

  • That the Lord Jesus Christ will return for His church. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

  • We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct intended to adopt a gender other than that at birth is immoral and therefore sinful. Gen. 1:27; Deut. 22:5

  • We believe that God established marriage as a lifelong and exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sinful. Gen. 2:24-25; Ex. 20:14,17; 22:19; Lev. 18:22-23; 20:13, 15-16; Matt. 19:4-6,9; Rom. 1:18-31; 1 Cor. 6:9-10, 15-20; 1 Tim. 1:8-11; Jude 7

  • We believe that from the moment of foundation until natural death, every human life is sacred because every human life was created by God in His image and likeness. From the moment of fertilization, every human life must be recognized, respected, and protected as having the rights of a person and the inviolable right to life. The right to life and physical integrity of every unborn human life is inviolable; it is not a concession made by society or the state, but is inherent to unborn human life by virtue of its creation in the image of God. Because human life begins at the moment of fertilization, it is contrary to our moral and religious conviction to cooperate formally or materially in the termination of unborn human life. We are firmly committed to the preservation and defense of human life, both before and after birth, which compels our religious, moral, and ethical duty to defend human life, whether born or unborn, from destruction, whether through surgical abortion or the use of drugs, devices, or services that have the intent, design, effect, or risk of terminating the life of the born or unborn, or preventing its implantation and growth after fertilization. The Church and all her ministers and ministries must bear public witness to society and the state regarding the intrinsic, inherent, and inviolable dignity of all human life, from fertilization to natural death. Gen. 1:26-27, 25:21-22; Ex. 20:13; Sal. 22:9-10, 13-16; Is. 44:1-2, 49:5; Job 10:8-12; Jer. 1:4-5; Luc. 1:39-45.

Our Values

  1. The Kingdom of God: We believe in the Kingdom of God as a divine truth and fundamental doctrine preached and taught by Jesus Christ. We believe in the infallibility and eternity of the Kingdom of God. Therefore, as a church, we subscribe to the teaching and minister the gospel accurately for the purpose of spreading the Kingdom. (Mat. 6:33; Rom. 14:17)

  2. Family: As a ministry, we strongly value the importance and fundamental meaning of the family unit, and as a ministry, we believe that we are one big family. Family was God’s idea and intention when He created Eve for Adam, blessed them, and commanded them to make the land fruitful. The nation of Israel was formed by the sons of Jacob, who are part of the 12 tribes of Israel. We firmly believe that strong, healthy families make for a strong, healthy nation. (Ef. 6:1 - 4; Mar.3:25)

  3. Intercessory Prayer: We believe that the Potter's House Church (ICA) was founded, built, and sustained by intercessory prayer. Therefore, prayer is a fundamental part of this church. We believe that the proper functioning and success of ICA depends on effective intercessory prayer, which is the spiritual support for everything we do as a church. Therefore, we believe that intercessory prayer is fundamental and essential for the full realization and success of ICA as a ministry, and therefore we will continue to build a culture of prayer.

  4. Integrity: As a church, we value integrity. We emphasize sound moral values. The integrity of every believer is essential for God to bless and heal a nation (2 Chronicles 7:14). As a ministry that develops leaders in every sector of society, we teach integrity as a fundamental principle that is non-negotiable when selecting individuals for ministry. Paul emphasizes to Titus that a minister of God's word must be blameless, and for this reason we teach that life must be lived blamelessly before God, to reveal His grace given to the believer. (Pro. 11:3; Pro. 20:7; Sal.25:21)
